A stress-free process
Our process is designed to make hiring a ferry pilot simple, efficient, and stress-free from start to finish. First, we review your aircraft, route, schedule, and trip requirements so we can prepare an accurate cost estimate and assign the appropriate pilot or crew. From there, we evaluate timing, logistics, and operational considerations to develop a plan that balances safety, efficiency, and cost.
Once approved, we handle flight planning, routing, and logistics while keeping you informed with regular updates by phone, text, or satellite communication as needed. In addition, we plan each segment to minimize unnecessary costs and maintain a smooth, efficient flow from origin to destination. From departure through final delivery, our focus remains on safety, clear communication, and a seamless handoff at the destination.
Bases across the U.S.
With bases strategically located across the United States, Point To Point Aviation reduces airline travel, hotel stays, rental cars, and other repositioning expenses that often increase the cost of ferry flights. Rather than sending a pilot across the country from a distant location, we can often begin the commute much closer to your aircraft and route. As a result, this regional coverage helps lower commuting costs while also improving scheduling flexibility.

Questions? We’re here to help!
Why choose Point To Point Aviation?
Aircraft ferry flights require more than basic flying skills. They demand planning, judgment, communication, and professionalism. Point To Point Aviation was built to provide a higher standard of service for owners, brokers, and buyers who value safe operations, experienced pilots, and dependable execution.
What is a ferry flight?
An aircraft ferry flight is the professional repositioning of an aircraft from one location to another. Owners, buyers, brokers, dealers, and maintenance facilities commonly use ferry services when an aircraft needs to be moved safely and efficiently. Ferry flights are often used for sales deliveries, maintenance repositioning, relocations, and acquisitions.
How much does a ferry flight cost?
The cost of a ferry flight depends on several factors, including aircraft type, route distance, weather, required pilot qualifications, scheduling urgency, and travel logistics. In most cases, pilot or crew services are billed at a daily rate, although very short trips may be quoted hourly to help reduce costs. In addition to the ferry fee, expenses such as fuel, lodging, airline travel, and ground transportation are listed separately and itemized in your estimate for full transparency. Lodging and meal expenses are capped at current GSA per diem rates.
What types of aircraft do you support?
We support most Cessna, Piper, Mooney, and Beechcraft single-engine piston aircraft, along with select multi-engine piston and turbine aircraft. How quickly can a flight be scheduled?
Many local flights can be scheduled on short notice, sometimes within hours depending on pilot availability and conditions. More complex trips that require commuting, lodging, or longer routing typically require additional planning time. We work to accommodate urgent requests whenever possible.
How are your ferry pilots qualified?
Our pilots are experienced aviation professionals selected for sound judgment, professionalism, and operational discipline. Pilot qualifications vary by aircraft and trip requirements, but we focus on matching each flight with a properly qualified pilot who meets experience and insurance standards.
Are ferry flights insured?
Insurance protection is an important part of every ferry trip. In most cases, our highly qualified pilots can be added as named insureds or approved pilots under the owner’s existing aircraft policy, typically at no additional cost. Point To Point Aviation may also be added as an additional insured when appropriate. We coordinate with owners, brokers, and insurers to help ensure proper coverage is in place before departure so each flight begins with confidence and clarity.
What updates will I receive during the flight?
We believe communication matters. Customers receive regular updates throughout the trip, including departure status, progress reports, any delays, and arrival confirmation. Updates may be provided by phone, text, email, or satellite communication as needed.
Do you assist with Special Flight Permits?
Yes. We can assist owners with the Special Flight Permit process when an aircraft does not currently meet standard airworthiness requirements but may be legally flown to a maintenance facility or another approved location. We can also assist with related FAA paperwork, including Form 8130-6, when applicable.
Do you provide service outside the CONUS?
Yes. We support ferry trips throughout the contiguous United States and can also assist with Alaska, Canada, and the Bahamas, depending on aircraft capability, route planning, and regulatory requirements.
What is your process?
Our process is simple and professional. It begins with a quote request and a review of the aircraft, route, timing, and trip requirements. Once approved, we coordinate pilot assignment, planning, logistics, and communication through completion. From departure to delivery, we focus on safety, efficiency, and a smooth customer experience.
